Handyman-Insurance...
Why
You Need It!
I think it’s important that you carry general
liability Handyman-insurance, if you're going to start, or already have
a professional handyman-business.
Advertising to your customers that you are
"licensed and insured" lets them know that you are a serious
professional and it's another factor in making them feel SAFE about
having you in their home.
Don't be one of the many people doing
handyman work without carrying insurance. This is a liability you don't
want! If your state is like mine, having a Class C license will
aid in the purchasing of insurance. Commercial jobs will require you to
have general liability coverage of $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 prior to
being hired (not to mention that you protect your assets if something
goes wrong on the job).
If you are going to start a professional
handyman-business, you MUST carry insurance! It will cost you far less
than the amount of business it brings!
