Plumbing-Basin-Wrench....
For Faucet Installation
A Plumbing-basin-wrench is a must have tool for
every handywoman. Custom countertops made from concrete, granite or
composite material can come much thicker than regular countertops which
make getting at the faucet nut problematic. The easiest way to solve
this problem is with this wrench. First, as with many of the fixes
you'll encounter, read the directions that came with the new faucet.
Second, check the joint between the countertop or sink surface and
faucet, it must be sealed. The new faucet may come with a built-in
rubber seal, however if it doesn't, use a ring of plumbers putty to
make the seal. Now use the large nuts (don't over-tighten plastic nuts)
to secure the faucet to the countertop or sink. This is where the
plumbing-basin-wrench will come in handy.
